I let my judgment in the arms of hatred
And I put on a mask that I never wore.
There was not too much left of my spirit
Because the absurdity wasted all my blood.

The sun died and the sky fell on me,
The stench of dead blood comes where I step.
I fall quickly in a personal decay
Where "forever" does not mean too much.

I saw everything without looking,
Hiding in an old and empty tomb.
I am lost in endless suicide without death
And now I begin the Apotheosis of Darkness.

I see a wrathful angel armed with a sword
And my existence is whispered by him
I have feelings on the edge of the blade
That vibrates in a painful infinity.

I live now to die another day,
Like a ghoul eating its own blood.
I fall in the sand of the hourglass
Where "never" is equal to "eternal".

I saw nothing when looking everywhere,
While dark voices call me by name.
I am lost in the shadow of my inner demon
And now I begin the Apotheosis of Darkness.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
